My son Justin

That's Justin on the left, ready for the Reach for the
Top tournament 2 weeks ago. His school, Westdale,
won all of their games

Such a popular boy, that Justin!

My youngest son, Justin, is 17 and in Grade 12 at Westdale High School, where he is the Student Council Vice President second year in a row. He hopes to go to University of Toronto next year. He is interested in English, Law, and that kind of stuff.
Justin is a great guitar player, and regularly plays with the Worship team at our church. He also strums on the ole banjo. Not too bad on the electric guitar either.
Its hard to believe that my boys are growing up soo fast!

My Study and Living Room

This is one corner of my study, which is waiting
for the desk, so kindly donated by Canadian Martyrs
School. A former principal's desk, he was a man who
truly loved kids, so I am honored to get it.

My living room, still in a state of disarray as
I am still putting things in one place, then changing
my mind.

Amazingly, I was able to pick out the sofa, love
seat and chair, along with the fabric in half an
hour at Bad Boy for their opening sale. The colour
matches the walls perfectly.

It is a working fireplace, yet have not used it
yet.

I have already enjoyed many wonderful visits
in this room with close friends, and am hoping
for many more. This house had a full blessing
from my home group, and I am definitely ex-
periencing God's goodness here!

My Wonderful Son Jonas

Here is my darling Jonas at Rattlesnake Point.

Jonas, at 21, is the oldest of my three sons. He is a corporal in the reserves with the RHLI (Royal Hamilton Light Infantry) unit. He is kept busy by working at armouries pretty well full time. Jonas was a tremendous help to me while I was in China this summer. He supervised the many different workers who were renovating our home. I don't see as much of him as I'd like as he is now renting his own place, at Locke and King. A really great apartment, which he got at a great deal. Jonas has a wonderful personality, and a really great sense of humour. He can have me in stitches in no time at all. I really love his girlfriend Marianna, who brings out the best in him. All in all, I am one proud mom!

God Provides

This is one of the deer that come to feed on the
apples that fall from the apple tree, pictured just
behind my car. How neat is that!

So... if God provides apples for the deer, he surely makes sure that I am taken care of, along with my boys. One thing that has happened since the separation is that I have become more joyful in my giving, and even with all the forboding 'bad' news of the economy, and Arunas' threat of 'screwing' me for lots of money, I have such peace and there seems to be enough money in my bank account to keep going. Thursday is my date to see Rick Shields, my wonderful lawyer, and I will let you know of the next step in the divorce saga.

My First Blog

Here I am in my front yard in front of my magnificent blue spruce.

My front porch , yes my address is 2 Daleview Court.

Hello all my dear friends from around the world,

I am so excited about starting this blog. I hope to be able to keep you updated on the continuing amazing story of how God is working in my life. I also want to post some photos, so Justin, my 17 year old son will have to help me with this.

First off, since my China trip, many things, both exciting things and extremely difficult things have happened and continue to happen. I will try to summarize the main points.

Right now I am living in my most wonderful home, that is truly God's gift to me. Everything about it is made with me in mind, from the large party room which I have started to use for entertaining to the great location. Some days I feel like Snow White, with the deer eating apples from my apple tree, the rabbits visiting my front yard, little chipmunks with full cheeks darting by, and tons of birds, cardinals, blue jays, chicadees, and others flying up to feed at the bird feeders. True, I still don't have a table (am borrowing a folding one from church), but I do have a lovely living room set that I purchased before moving, and perfectly matches the colour of the living room walls. Please Justin find your camera so I can post some pics.

In the meantime, the Fairmount house is empty except for Arunas on the 3rd floor. He is choosing to live a very foolish life. His drinking has caused him to spend money carelessly, he continues to have sex with 19 and 21 year olds. He has returned to work and after getting his licence back, bought a brand new Honda Civic. He is very mean to us, calling through the night this last week, which caused me to unplug the phones for the night. I am in the process of buying him out of his share of the house, however, he is prolonging the process, by continually demanding more money. I will see my lawyer next Thursday and we will discuss the next steps.
Through the horrendous days and weeks I have God's reassurance through his Holy Spirit, that he has my best interests as well as the boys in mind. Yes, my heart cries for my sons, and what they must witness and hear. I realize a lot of this is the illness, but I do believe he has made choices that led him and continue to lead him down a treacherous slippery slope.

On the other hand, wonderful, rejoicing, God-glorifying things are happening. The October Event was meeting and befriending the Jarka family from Czech republic. They are gypsies, Andrea, Marek, and their daughters, Marcella and Andrea. God arranged for me to meet them and bring them to Little Bethel Community Church. From the start, Andrea had a hunger for God, and with tears in her eyes declared her desire to follow God. I enjoy visiting this family every week for Bible Study and just good fellowship.

I miss my dear friends in Lithuania, and in China, and tears well up in my eyes when I remember them. Yet God has opened my world here in Hamilton, with wonderful friendships, with many people. I have been blessed with an extra position as International Languages Supervisor, where I visit classes where children learn their native language. How warmly I am received by all the communities: Hungarian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Spanish, and yes even Lithuanian (how neat is that, God arranged this I am sure). I delight in my friendship with Chaplain Monoja and his family from Sudan, my lovely Leticia from Guatemala who is my hardworking colleague from SISO, the many Spanish speaking families I meet when they first arrive, and their children must have English assessments. I am amazed how despite many differences God's love can almost instantly break down any barriers.

I do hope I can keep you posted on the continuing saga as this is the beginning of my new life: a life of adventure in the Spirit.

Till next time, now Justin WHERE ARE YOU? I WANT THE CAMERA.
